Electrical Engineering Intern (co-op)

Develop a general understanding of the various day-to-day responsibilities to support electrical hardware development in the Automotive industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Use your knowledge of electronic circuits to assist engineers in designing and testing electronic control units (ECU) and/or inverters for various applications
  • Assist engineers to perform circuit simulations and worst-case analysis on circuit level for ECUs and/or inverters
  • Support hands-on electronics laboratory tasks: soldering, building wire harnesses, electronic unit tear-down, and test set-up
  • Perform regular performance reviews in conjunction with supervisor and intern advisor
  • Perform end of semester presentation on a project.

Qualifications:

  • College student pursing a bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Some experience/knowledge of electronics related software such as LTSpice, Mathcad
  • Good computer application software knowledge and skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently; willingness to take initiative
  • Fluent in English
